Hello everyone, hope you all are doing well, this is Deepanshu Ahuja today's blog is all about "How to be presentable with your answers and score good marks" in Professional exams like (CA/CS/CMA)

  • We all know that the Institute Passing % is very low due to increase in competition and Institute want only deserving candidates to become professional.
  • so students has to put an extra effort in presentation & contents not only to qualify but to score good marks. lot of students do not prepare themselves for answer writing/presentation in exams.

  • We "CS Test series " has checked around 10000+ Mock test copies in:
    •  Session (January 2019 - June 2019)
    • Session ( July 2019 - December 2019)
    • Session ( January 2020 - June 20200)

  • We have observed some common mistakes which student does while writing answers,we want to share our observations with you all so you can aware about these points and avoid doing such mistakes in your exam.

  • As we have observed that lot of students are conceptually strong they deserve to be passed in upcoming exams and hopefully they will because of their conceptual clarity and knowledge but only because of presentation they were unable to score good in previous mock tests  and accordingly we have suggested them some answer writing tips to do well and now they are doing good.

  • I would like to share some observations of our team of "Rank holder's" has done on presentation of answers, here are some common points to remember while writing answers:-

  1.  While attempting particular type of question ( Case law/Short notes/Comments/Explain briefly) be presentable with your particular format of answer writing, i have attached some copies below for reference in the end of this blog.
  2. Avoid cancellation  while writing your answers.
  3. Start each question from new page.
  4. Focus on presenting concepts to the point.
  5. Avoid writing answers in long para's
  6. Work on framing of sentences and write complete sentences.
  7. Write answers short and simple don't round about construction.
  8. Read question carefully and write answer what is asked (Be specific with the answer) overwriting may waste your time.
  9. Writing lengthy answers won't get you marks( its a myth) be  to the point.
  10. Use black pen to write headings and sub headings to make your answer look more attractive and presentable.
  11. Underline important terms in your answers make examiner's work easy, do it carefully and don't underline unnecessary terms if you don't know the concept right.

  • Pointing out some common mistakes of students:-
  1. Following same format for writing all type of questions.
  2. Problem in framing sentences which not give proper meaning.
  3. Writing answers in long pars's.
  4. Writing multiple question which is not even asked in question.
  5. Writing lengthy answers.
  6. Repeating same thing again and again.

Apart from Studies some Suggestions from my side:-

1.     Eat healthy
Healthy food leads to healthy mind avoid eating junk food and eat healthy to stay active else laziness will disturb you, and no one afford that before exams.
2.     Stay fit
I would not say to you to workout for 2 hours and all but atleast take out time for your body atleast give 20-30 minutes a day even do yoga it improves your concentration or do running or any physical activity for 20-30 minutes
In a Book Brain rules it says that physical exercise energise our brain.

3.     7-8 hours sleep necessary
7-8 hours sleep is necessary  Research shows that consistently getting seven to eight hours of sleep per night is beneficial for adults. Getting enough quality sleep is also key to a healthy lifestyle
4.      Stay motivated

  • -Remind yourself of your goals.
  • -Make weekly checkpoints to track your progress.
  • -Make sure to reward yourself every time you achieve your weekly goals.
  • -Give yourself breaks.
  • -Don't be too hard on yourself.
  • -Watch and read motivational stories or speeches
